This journal was created for playing in The Tribe RPG LJ Community The Mall.

My reasons for leaving can be found in My Leaving Post. And The Leaving Post of my friend who played Outcast_May.

I will however list two of those reasons here:

When a player left the game, they took an OC character with them. The Mod, however, declared that the OCs, despite being created by their owners, belonged to the game not the player and had to be given to them. The demand was refused and the journals deleted, only to have them stolen back by the Mod. She claims that OCs always belong to the game they were created in and not to the players who create them. In ten years of playing various RPGs I have never played in a game or even heard of one in which this was true. Nor have anyone I know who plays RPGs. There are instances, few and far between, when a player who is leaving enjoys the game enough, and trusts another player enough, to turn their character over to them. But that is completely at the perogative of the player. And if a player is asked by the Mod/another player to take a character and tells them no, this should be respected. Their is nothing worse than having a character you've put your heart and soul into stolen by someone else.

I deleted this character info and icons in protest to what was done in the journal of [info]freespirit_moon. She handed over her journal when she left the game, deleting her icons and the character history she created for her, as they were all her own work. Only to discover her work had been stolen and put back up by the Mod. Rightfully upset by this she deleted the journal, only to have it stolen back, and her icons put back up. The character history was left off the second time. For this, atleast, I am grateful.

But the icons were still created by her, off of pictures she screencaptured herself. The Mod claims to have gotten them off This Site and This Site. But neither site has the two icons in question on it, and one is even incapable of downloading pictures from the episodes in question. It's wrong to take another's work without their permission to begin with, but at the very least one should have the guts to admit to it, and not claim they aren't that person's.

I find this behaviour uncondoneable. A Mod should always respect the boundaries put up by their past and present players. I question the abilities of any Mod who doesn't. I am putting this up for two reasons, one to warn potential players of these misdeeds. Secondly in hope, however slight, that the person in question will listen to their conscience and correct what they have done.
